Unique antique & vintage pieces from a brother & sister team

After a lifelong interest in all things antique and vintage, we decided to take the plunge and make this our full-time career.  Starting the business with just a few pounds in our pockets was a challenge, but not many people are lucky enough to have a job where they get to discover wonderful new items every single day. We discover a lot of dust and cobwebs too.

At Waxed & Wired, we specialise in lighting and things to hang on walls, although we do stock a few other items we just couldn’t resist.  We had an obsession with antique skittles for a while, but we’re hoping we’re over it.

We have one simple rule when sourcing new stock – we only buy what we love and we’d happily have in our own homes (if only we had the space).

We don’t limit ourselves to a particular time period. Our items range from industrial, mid-century modern and rustic chic through to true antiques, art deco and art nouveau. What matters to us is that each piece has a story to tell, or it’s beautifully crafted, or it’s unique and quirky, or it’s a fantastic example of exceptional design.  We want you to have pieces that will instil your home with personality, warmth, and character.

All of our items are lovingly and sympathetically revived or restored in our own workshop, before they go up for sale and hopefully go on to provide many years of enjoyment.
