Our terms and conditions and our privacy policy are set out below. These terms do not affect your statutory rights.

- PRODUCT SPECIFICATION & CONDITION
All of the products sold by Waxed & Wired are antique or vintage, this means the items will show signs of usage and are not in a brand-new condition (signs of prior use or wear are not considered to be signs of damage on the items). Any significant wear or signs of usage will be highlighted in the product descriptions and shown on the photographs.
Waxed & Wired carry out sympathetic restoration and renovation on many of the items sold, but this will not remove all traces of wear or usage.
Buying from Waxed & Wired means you agree to accept the products as they are photographed and described. Once the product(s) has been delivered, Waxed & Wired are not responsible for any deterioration or damage through usage by the recipient.
Any electrical items that have been PAT tested will have this stated within the product description, in addition the item will be given a label stating the date the PAT test took place. If there is no reference to a PAT test within a product’s description, then the item has not been PAT tested. Lighting should always be installed by a qualified electrician.

- MEASUREMENTS
We provide approximate dimensions and sizes.
- PRICES
All product prices on the site exclude postage and packing charges.
Postage and packing charges will be added to the shopping cart before you check out and make payment.
- PAYMENTS
Waxed & Wired are entitled to refuse any order placed. If payment has already been taken, then it will be refunded.
Waxed & Wired accept payment via PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to make payments. PayPal will process all major credit cards even if you do not have a PayPal account.
PayPal provide one of the most secure payment platforms in the world – please see their website to understand more about how they protect their customers’ data.
Waxed & Wired do not see or receive your payment details (i.e. credit card numbers) at any time.
- DELIVERY
Delivery and postage prices quoted are for UK mainland delivery (we do not deliver to Northern Ireland). Some items, for example antique mirrors, may require a specialist courier service and may incur additional charges.
In some circumstances we may be able to arrange shipping outside the UK, please contact use BEFORE making your purchase.
If items are accidentally damaged in the course of delivery, then Waxed & Wired’s liability for that damage is limited to the repair, refund or replacement of the goods or the goods’ value.
- RETURNS AND REFUNDS
We will accept returns of items. Please inform us as soon as possible that you wish to return an item. Items MUST be returned within 14 days.
Once the returned goods are received, you will be refunded in full, less any delivery charges (unless the goods are faulty or incorrect). Any return delivery charges will be payable by you, unless the goods are faulty or incorrect.
Please obtain proof of postage when returning items.
- WEBSITE / eBAY IMAGES & CONTENT
Waxed & Wired make every effort to show products accurately but there may be slight colour discrepancies caused by screen displays on devices.
Waxed & Wired also endeavour to ensure the accuracy of our website’s content and product descriptions however some errors may occur. We make every effort to rectify any errors as soon as they’re spotted but we cannot be held responsible – See Section 8: Liability.

- LIABILITY
While Waxed & Wired make every effort and take reasonable care to keep your order details secure, we cannot be held responsible for any loss you may suffer if a third party obtains unauthorised access to any information (including payment details) that you supply, when accessing or ordering from eBay (for example, when placing an order while using an unsecured WiFi connection).
If you receive goods that are either damaged or defective, or not what you ordered, you must notify us within 48 hours of receiving the order. We will then arrange to refund the costs of the goods and any shipping costs, once returned to and received by Waxed & Wired, unless we inform you that the return is not necessary. This does not affect your statutory rights.
If there is an error in the cost of the goods that you have ordered, we will contact you as soon as possible, but we shall be under no obligation to fulfil an order for a product that was shown with an incorrect price. We will contact you to advise that we have not accepted your order and that it has been cancelled, and we will make a full refund to the same account that the funds were originally taken from.
Waxed & Wired do not accept any liability for any errors and/or omissions contained on our website and reserve the right to change information, prices, and descriptions of products listed, at any time and without notice.
Waxed & Wired strive to provide accurate information, relating to dimensions, condition and provenance or age of the products, but can give no guarantee as to the accuracy of this information.
Waxed & Wired strive to provide accurate representations of each product for sale on eBay, however due to a number of varying factors, such as internet browsers etc., we cannot be held responsible or liable for any differences in colour between the image and the actual product itself.
Waxed & Wired cannot be held responsible for any delay in the delivery of your order.
The items sold by Waxed & Wired are antique or vintage and show age-related wear, consistent with their age and use. Some wooden items may have evidence of old woodworm/woodboring beetles. Waxed & Wired treat items that show evidence of worm but it is impossible to guarantee the treatment used is totally effective and we take no responsibility for any damage caused to furniture supplied, or to surrounding furniture or building materials.
Waxed & Wired shall not be liable to you by reason of any representation, or implied condition, guarantee, or other term, or any duty at common law, or under the express terms of the contract, or in negligence for any indirect special or resultant loss or damage (including but not limited to loss of profit or loss of saving), expenses, costs or other claims for compensation whatsoever, which arise out of, or in connection with the use of the Waxed & Wired website or eBay, the sale of products or their use of resale by you.
Any third-party links on the website should not be viewed as an endorsement by or an affiliation with Waxed & Wired. Waxed & Wired cannot be held responsible or liable for your use of any websites that are accessible from this website.
- PRIVACY POLICY
This privacy policy describes how Waxed & Wired collect and use your personal information. This policy does not form part of any agreement or contract with you.
Unless required by law, your personal details will not be passed to a third party for any reason. Waxed & Wired only use your information for the purpose of fulfilling orders placed by you, or to communicate to you with regards to goods ordered or purchased.
Waxed & Wired is the data controller for any personal information held relating to you. This means that we are responsible for determining how information relating to you is used, stored, and shared.
Waxed & Wired may collect, store, and use the following categories of personal information about you:

Personal information relating to you is collected when you complete the website’s contact form, and/or contact us via our email address, and/or complete a purchase via eBay.
